Ron Paul

Because there is no real choice in the "three evils" this coming November, I decided to go looking for an underdog to vote for. It was either that or just miss out on the first presidential election ever in my life. But if you do that, then you have no right to complain!! So my search began and ended with some research on Ron Paul. This guy really could save us from the downward spiral we're already in (is downward spiral a better or more politically correct phrase than recession?). Ron really has no shot at winning this thing, but if enough people vote for the underdog, maybe he can pull out a victory or a vice president bid. At least that's the hope since the "other three" don't lend much hope at all. McCain is a liberal in conservative disguise. Obama is a big city lawyer with anti-gun policies who has lost touch with middle class rural America. And Hillary, well we won't even go there.

If you haven't read up on Ron Paul yet, here you go:

I will admit John McCain was not my first choice, however, I admire his service to our country and his will to survive in the prison camp. I know one thing, he will protect this country from our enemies. I don't like his immigration policies, and I am hoping they will change if he's elected.

One things for sure, a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Hillary or Obama. I don't think people see what's going on in this world. I don't think people understand what's going on in China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Venesaula. I also don't think people understand what's going on in Iraq. If you no anything about history, you will understand what I am talking about. I would rather have John McCain in the White House making descisions about the safety and sercurity of this great country. Please, don't vote for Ron Paul, let's give McCain a chance.

Regading your comment "McCain is a liberal in conservative desguise". Many people said the same things about Ronald Reagan and look what he did.

Please do a little more research on Doctor Ron Paul. He is not what he appears to be. His actual policies are really different than what he campians on. Says one thing and does another.

This is from a Texan that has seen his wily, covert ways.

Does the name Ross Perot bring back any memories? If not for this jugeared little martian, we would never have had the Clintonistas in the Whitehouse.

Of the three evils, McCain is probably the lesser of the bunch but he is still not the man that will pull us back around. None of the three will. ANd while I admire his fortitude in his POW situation, I don't think that should catapult him into any leadership position. Being a POW doesn't mean you'd be a good politician.

I got to visit with a few Arizona Republicans down at the Cactus Classic a few months ago and let me tell you, they are not happy with his 2nd amendment track record. And they would know. He's from their state. Probably similar to the guys who don't like Paul that are from Texas. Perhaps they have a particular case or experience they would like to share that would educate the rest of us to the "two-faced" ways of Ron Paul?

If you vote for Ron Paul, it is nothing more than a proxy vote for the Democratic candidate in reality.

He has zero chance of winning anything, and will only suck off non liberal votes like you. You are only playing into the Democrats hands by doing that!

you are doing the same as staying home because a vote for Ron Paul is a wasted vote and lost which will only benefit Obama or Hillary in the end.

Your choice, but do not be naive and think it is anything positive.

A couple of examples

Voted against Bill HR2206 7/12/07 funding troops in Iraq(Voted with Dems)
Voted against Bill HR 1 Ammendamant to Homleand Security act to implement recommendations of the 9/11 commision
No vote on Bill S 1927 amendment to Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act
Voted Against Bill S 3930 Military Commissions act (Voted with Dems)
Voted Against Bill HR 5825 Electronic Surveillance Act (Voted with Dems)
Voted Against Bill HR Estate Tax Extension Act (Voted with Dems)

Key Votes by Ron Paul | Congress votes database | washingtonpost.com

Just look at how many times he votes with the Democratic party and against his (LOL) Republican party. A politicians words or website is one thing, his actions and voting record is another. After being in the Senate for twenty years, why is he not a major leader in the Republican party, because he is not a Republican, and has no support in the Senate.

Try to find his sponsored bills that have succeeded in getting passed. He, in my opinion, is a professional politician that has done nothing for this country and the 14th District but has done well for himself with raising money for his political coffers.
