Their assault on the people of NY alone and their rights to protect themselves are unconscionable....IMHO
I don't know what keeps Ruger in NH and H&R in MA either?...The NE isn't friendly to business in general....
.........but the skilled people are. Look at LS Starrett in Athol Mass. Best precision tools on the planet, bar none.
Ruger actually moved all arms production to Prescott, Arizona a while back. It maintains offices in New Hampshire and their investment casting facility is there and possibly prototype development but the production guns are made in Arizona. Now, if they could just make a decent trigger......
Don't forget about Colt Industries. They are out in the North East somewhere. Colt is a very large first tier supplier for the government and DOD.
I believe (could be wrong) but I think Colt casts the aluminum alloy lowers for Kimber, Ruger, Wilson and themselves.
I'm suprised that Ruger don't do them for everyone. They have a fantastic reputation for very high quality investment castings. I owm a fine example of Strum Ruger's investment cast actions. My mini 14 Target's upper is a work of art.
