question about my Remington 7600

I have a Remington 7600 in a 280 cal. I have been trying to find out how much they go for. I've been told two different prices. One was around $400 and the other is $2800.

It is the one that has the outdoor scenery on both sides of the receiver. I will try and post pics if my phone will let me.

Re: question about my Remington 7600

Here in Pa the 7600 pump is one of the most frequently seen guns in the deer woods. Yours looks like ever other one I've see, with the only somewhat odd factor being it's in .280, as opposed to the more commonly seen .30-06, .270, and even .35 Whalen or the old .35 .Rem. Bottom line-if someone will give you $2800 for it....grab it before the regain their logic. The $400 quote is basically the book value I've seen.

Re: question about my Remington 7600

The remington made a couple different 7600. I observed the pawn shops price book where the description matched mine to be the $2800 one but on another it shows to be the $400. Thats why I decided to post it on here because I know someone could give me an answer.

Re: question about my Remington 7600

I've located the same question on ask.com and gun digest both show it between $1200-2700. I have further read that the 7600f is the one with wildlife scene which mine has.

But I have seen them in the price range of $400-700 also. I dont know they didnt realize what they had or what.

So now I'm really confused.

Re: question about my Remington 7600

If you are trying to sell it, post the price at $2800 and it will tell you what people think they are worth.

Personally, I don't think they are worth more than $400, no matter how fancy they are. I have one in 30-06 that shoots real well, but it is noisy and heavy. I inherited it from my father-in-law, but I would darn sure never buy one on purpose. They are just a well-made, user gun as far as I am concerned and do not warrant a lot of money.
