Re: Project rifle done!

Thanks Mach V - I guess my sig line fits the bill here. I'm pretty much computer stupid!
I noticed the image didn't show up when I previewed the post but thought that was just a preview thing. Does the pic actually appear when previewing? provided I have it in right of course.

Re: Project rifle done!

Cowboy,

Turned out extremely nice. Well worth the bit of trouble we had to go through to get to this final product.

Very nice work on the stock. Let me know how she runs for you with formed brass and top pressure loads.

Its always nice to have an AI chambered round play with 1/2 moa forming brass. Always a good prediction of fine performance to come!!

Again, great work on the rifle, looks great!!

That is a beautiful rifle and I have no doubt that it will be a shooter!!

Kirby sure does build a fine rifle!! And on top of that he is a helluva nice guy to deal with.

Cowboy thats a nice looking stick!
I was interested in one of those stocks but after talking to a couple of folks including Kirby and nobody being sure how much work would be involved in finishing it I opted out.
It looks very nice on you rig!!

Re: Project rifle done!

Thanks guys! It was fun and a learning experience. The stock was a little rougher than I figured it would be, but it sanded down nice and turned out to my liking. The range near my house was closed today. I will try to get there wed afternoon to fire form the rest of my brass. I would just go out in the woods but it is so dry a spark from a bullet/rock interface could start a fire and I don't want that to happen. I'll keep you all informed on the load development process.
