Pictures from my Safari in South Africa

Here are some pictures of the lodge we stayed in.

Here I am with my PH inside the lodge.

Here is the living room inside the lodge.

Here is one of the bedrooms

Here is a picture of the outside of the lodge.

I know, we had to "rough-it" but we managed.

Here are pictures of the animals I took while on Safari.

This is the 17 3/4" Blesbok I shot on the first day of my Safari.

Below is the 5" Steenbok

Below is my Springbok

Below is my 13" Bushbuck. For those that know bushbuck, check out the unusual dark coat.

Below is my Zebra

Nice.

I believe I'll need to go over there too, that Zebra is great.

Re: Pictures from my Safari in South Africa

For the Blesbok, Steenbok and Springbuck I used a 7mm mag and 127gr EXP Groove Bullets. I used the 375 H&H AI with 272gr EXP Groove Bullets for the Zebra and the Bushbuck. I hadn't planned on using the 375 H&H AI for Bushbuck, it just worked out that way.

The 7mm mag has a Swarovski 2.5 to 10 X 42 scope on it and the 375 H&H AI has a 1.5 to 6 X 42 Schmidt & Bender scope on it. The 7mm mag has a 24" barrel and the 375 AI has a 28" barrel.

Dave,

To "me" the Zebra represents "the" animal of Africa even though most advertise the Kudu as "the" animal. On my next trip I plan on taking 2 additional zebra.
