2) If the McCain camp thought this non-issue would be a problem they never would have selected Sarah.
3) Clear thinking individuals easily see this "troopergate" as something that would be more to her credit than discredit.
1) Thank you for your tolerance. In return I'll say you have every right to deminish and ignore it.
2) What the McCain camp thought? That's the end all? They must think it's an issue now. They've got their attorney's busy in both stall and damage control mode.
3) This ones too funny... Must be that only the Wasilla area residents, or at least the minority in this country, are clear thinking individuals - otherwise I suspect Sarah (as smart as she is) would spend her time campaigning on the positives of her firing of her Commissioner of Public Safety in order to settle petty-anty scores with her sister's ex-husband from three years ago (three years ago - talk about holding grudges!). Sarah would surely secure the votes of all those clear thinkers across the country while explaining her rationale for the exercise of executive power to settle a personal family fued. Clear thinkers all across the country would be given the opportunity to agree with you - they could all judge for themselves if her actions were a positive example of character and leadership ability. I tend to believe this is where Sarah and you part company. She's realized a day late and way after the fact that she blew it and that this could cost her some votes. I'm pretty sure McCain disagrees with you also. Otherwise he wouldn't have assigned a room full of attorney's to keep this "troopergate" story from seeing the light of day and now that it has seen the light of day, McCain attorneys are going for second best - delay the investigation and conceal the facts until after the election. If this was a vote getter they'd be asking for a speedy investigation to clear the air before the November elections.
Yep, a clear thinker would have to conclude that either you've got it wrong, or Ms. Sarah and McCain have got it wrong as far as collecting votes over "troopergate". You really a clearer thinker than Ms. Sarah & McCain?
If the McCain camp thought this non-issue would be a problem they never would have selected Sarah.
Clear Thinker, I'm sorry, I mean Hunter...,
You might ought to wait until McCain's won the election before you give too much credit to what the McCain camp thought or "didn't thought" on this "non-issue". Overconfidence can be a dangerous thing - not really much different than abuse of power by an elected official.
Although my votes never made the difference in any election in my lifetime, I truely am going to vote for the man and then pray to God he doesn't die in Office his first term should he win the election. Otherwise Sarah might intimidate the Attorney General of the United States to the point of refusing to enforce the laws of this country, as she has Alaska's Attorney General over "troopergate". And what might she do to one of us plain folk if one of us were to call the sister of the President a bad name.
Sounds like you have a dog in this fight. Do you know this sister? Are you the ex-no good brother in-law?
I tend to agree that it is an issue, only because they have not been able to find anything of better consequence. If McCain's camp does not fight back then the other side can make it as big as they want to, truth be damned.
I personally think they have a bigger issue with the fact that Palin shoots moose. She doesn't fit the elite profile. Her dad drive a pickup truck of all things. His bumper sticker makes fun of vegetarians. How unsophisticated and crude is that?
I for one am actually excited about a politician for the 1st time since Regan.

If you could do something to protect your sister, and did not, because it was not politically correct. I would think of you as a spineless twerp.

Your focus on this use of power, or so called abuse of power, is disproportionate to the issues at hand. In fact, if this is the worst the opposition can dig up, wow, indeed what a gem we have in Sarah.
You can continue to dwell on it if you choose, I am not. It's too small an issue. But you have fun with it.

It wouldn't matter what I said to respond to you. The sister and ex have been separated for ~ three years. Good for your excitement but your comparison to Reagan has no basis in fact except in your own mind. But we're not talking about politically incorrect. We're talking about violation of State law and Personnel rules by the highest elected official in the State of Alaska in order to settle non-State business. Like taking the law into your own hands just because you believe you can survive it. Understand the ex-brother-in-law is still working for the troopers. She wasn't even successful. Call me a twerp if you'd like, but I object to that behavior from any elected official. It's likened to vigilante enforcement, and no elected official has that authority. I could call you oblivious to the obvious flaw in her character in your effort to seek personal gain from the results of this election. Or worse. I won't call you those things. I'll just think of you as selfish and mindless, and you can think of me as a twerp.
So overlook it and place your vote. It's your right. Just don't bad mouth her sister. It might cost you. Then who would be the twerp?

1) She hasn't been subpoena'd yet.
2) It is her right to NOT talk to someone, isn't it?
3) It sounds like YOU have already tried and convicted her. Unless you have first hand knowledge of the events? I thought everyone (including State Governors) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law (at least down here in the lower 48 states).
4) Even if she did say she would be open and talk to the investigators, I'd say her situation has changed; And now there are more people and issues riding on that kind of decision than before she became a VP candidate. (wouldn't you agree?)
