Re: Palin's Negative Attacks Backfire

"The McCain campaign’s recent angry tone and sharply personal attacks on Senator Barack Obama appear to have backfired and tarnished Senator John McCain more than their intended target, the latest New York Times/CBS News poll has found.

After several weeks in which the McCain campaign unleashed a series of strong political attacks on Mr. Obama, trying to tie him to a former 1960s radical, among other things, the poll found that more voters see Mr. McCain as waging a negative campaign than Mr. Obama. Six in 10 voters surveyed said that Mr. McCain had spent more time attacking Mr. Obama than explaining what he would do as president; by about the same number, voters said Mr. Obama was spending more of his time explaining than attacking.

Over all, the poll found that if the election were held today, 53 percent of those determined to be probable voters said that they would vote for Mr. Obama and 39 percent said they would vote for Mr. McCain.
"

The negative attacks were another bad McCain campaign strategy, but desperate situations...

Former 60's radical? He is a current radical actually & has never been sorry for his actions.
I would not say that Obama has spent much time explaining, but rather much time lying.
Obama has no logical economic stratagy at all, and yes people do want change, but going from a Spam sandwich to a Goat Pellet sandwich is not the type of change I seek, but I guess it is for many. If it happens, it will hit White Libs first to a large degree. It should be quite a ride.

Re: Palins speach

Being retired from Alaska Law Enforcement and knowing of the Trooper in question> He should never have made it to the certification stage. Not a quality professional in my book and one of those that when the badge went on, became god like.

As many have watched Sara, she is just what you see. Down home real people with no hidden agenda's. Real down home straight talking country folk from Alaska who are a typical Alaska family. Hunt, fish, live off the land. Made their money from commercial fishing and working in the oil industry on the north slope.

I have never believed a woman should be leading this nation until Sara came along. SHe is so far above McCain or the other idiot that I would vote for her over the other two for president!

Re: Palin for President of the PTA?

Palin for President? Of what? With her wealth of experience? Now I've heard it all. Let's just pick any woman off the street and put her in there. They're apt to have better judgement and more experience than Palin. She sure impressed me in the Katie Couric interviews. Her negative attacks on Obama sure impress me too. If McCain told her to say Bush had Muslim terrorist friends she'd say that too. Show's that she's a real original thinker.

You might as well put a Dodo bird in the White House.

Nobody in this thread is claiming the ex-brother-in-law was a stand up guy. I'm claiming Sarah was a nincumpoop for pursuing him with her husband to the point of firing Monnegan and creating Troopergate. Show's she's a backwards thinker rather than a forwards thinker to me. And that revenge is high on her priority list. Just the character traits we need in the White House. Good thing the rest of the country isn't buying in to Ms. Sarah Potato Head.

But it looks like a lot of them are buying into Mr. Potato* Head (Obama).

...and talk about revenge, look at the past associations and writings of Obama and his wife: In addition to their enthusiasm for all thing socialistic, they seethe with expressions of resentment against white people!

An Obama President with a Democrat Congress will ram their Socialist agenda down our throats with...shall we say...a less that favorable attitude toward "whitey."

*BTW, there is no "e" in potato or tomato.

Re: Palins speach

Since I am not a Lib I am not worried about your spelling as the Socialist Demoncraps were with Dan Quail. Like I said, I am keeping my eye on the ball, that ball being the USA & our freedoms instead of worring about a Trooper who is not looking too good. I am more concerned about a Marxist running for pres. who could cost all of us dearly. For some reason, it seems just a wee bit more important.
