Need help with varmint rifle

Hello everyone, I am new to the site and it looks very interesting.

I am getting ready to build a new varmint rifle, however, I don't know what caliber I want to go with. I already have 223, 22-250 and a 6BR. I am pretty much covered for shots out to 500 yards, so I need something to reach the 800 to 1000 yard mark.

I am wanting something with some power. I am thinking about the 6x284. If I go with 6x284, I am thinking I want to use the 87grn V-max and 105grn A-Max. I am thinking about using a 1-10 twist. The 1-10 twist looks like it will stabilize both the 87 and 105grn bullet. Anybody out there using this cartridge, bullet, and barrel twist combo.

You will need a 9" twist for the 105.

the 6-284 will get you to 1000yds and beyond , as will the 243 and the 243 Ai.

I'd opt for the 1-8 twist for shooting the 105gr class VLD bullets as they will buck the wind alot better than the 75-80 gr class bullets yet you will still be able to shoot the lighter bullets.

I personaly like the 243 Ackley improved over the 6-284 as the differance in velocity is not that great and the barrel life is a little better plus its easier to get to work from the short actions.

You can't deny the accuracy potential of the 6br or its improved versions.

I have a 243AI with a 3 groove Lilja 28", I think it's a 1-11 twist.
Anyway the 85-87 grain bullets hit 3700 fps in my rifle.
