Okay here's a few definitions as I know them:

hair pig- black bear
whistle pig- rockchuck or woodchuck
sod poodle- prairie dog
tree rat- squirrel

Here's a few more:
Song dog
Speed goat
Pole cat

Let me guess at a few then;

Earth Pig, the only one I know is the Aardvark.

Land shark, probably wolves but just a wild guess.

Biffin's Bridge??? Taint going there!

Or what about the King Flounder?
Of course that leads to the Mochid chuckle and Mush Head!!!!

earth pigs = large groundhogs
Bean muncher = groundhog
land shark = Pit bull [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]

Whistle pig = gopher (in SW Idaho)

How about this one: punt dog

song dog = coyote
speed goat = Antelope
Not sure on this one, but pole cat = cougar
land shark could be a badger or wolverine?
