The donor - Savage 110 in .270 Win paid $199 used from Scheel's. Had it for 2
years and harvested 2 deer and an antelope.

The specs ...
- Savage 110 L/A
- Lilja 30" barrel, 3-groove, 1:8, #6 contour (.750" at the muzzle).
- square action, thread, chamber, crown, sand blast, and install (by Dave
Young, Sand Coulee, MT)
- B&C Duramaxx stock (olive web)
- EGW zero MOA rail (might have to go for a 20 MOA later)
- lug nut from Stockade
Because of the 1.25" OD, I went nut-less per smith's recommendation ... and darn happy with it. I currently have the trigger set at 2.5 lbs and will have to bed it later. Not sure of scope yet but I have a couple old scopes laying around for the brass fire-forming phase. It's ~ 8 lbs without the bipod.
I will primarily be handloading the 165 and 175 Matrix VLDs and perhaps later Berger's 170 VLDs.
Will keep you posted on any progress . Sorry for all the pix.
