I have E-trex summit, it runs for about 13hr at Zero degrees and 16-17hr above freezing with 1800mah NIMH rechargeables, and about 10 hr with reg Alk, at 30-40F. I am too cheep to keep buying bateries. I guess they make 2400mah NIMH cells now so that should increase life quite a bit.

Tried some litiums today in my camera vs. alk at 20F 10F wind chill, the camera worked very fast and never missed one shot, before with the reg alk. it would not work 90% of the time.
