Hi these are Boyds stocks just with an extra price added to them the coted one will be more of a disadvantage to you because you cant fir a bull barrel into it. It looks like a spray on synthetic coating but i am not sure.

You can open the barrel channel! Could be sprayed on or dipped, either way it will add strength and protection!!!
