Importing firearms from Canada

So long story short, I am moving from Canada to Upstate New York for work and am trying to import some bolt guns. Anyone have any suggestions or contacts to make it painless? I have already tried filling out form 6 myself but apparently i did something wrong and now am looking for an FFL that would be willing to do it on my behalf. Have tried most gun shops in new york state that I could find on the internet with no success yet. I may have found one possible shop that will do it but is out of state. Also if/when I am able to get them does anyone know anywhere to shoot long range in the Corning area? Thanks for taking the time to read.
