I need a writer to review Bryan Litz' new book.

We are now offering Bryan Litz latest ballistics book: Accuracy and Precision For Long Range Shooting by Bryan Litz.

I am looking for someone who would like to write a review of the book. I will provide a complimentary copy of the book that the writer can make his article notes in and then keep.

We will publish the article as a Feature Article right here at LRH. The following description of the book is from Bryan's website.
--------------------------------------------------------------

About the Book
There's a lot of good information available on long range shooting which explains how to correct trajectories for drop, wind deflection, etc. This book takes it a step further and discusses how various uncertainties affect your hit percentage.

Weapon Employment Zone (WEZ) analysis is a method for showing how effective a weapon system is throughout its range of employment in terms of hit percentage. WEZ analysis is explained, and applied throughout the book to show how effectiveness can be improved thru various means.

Accuracy and Precision for Long Range Shooting is written in the same easy to understand language that made Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting such an enjoyable and effective book. Long range shooting can be very technical. However, author Bryan Litz, communicates these complex ideas in layman terms, so most average shooters can master the subject with little difficulty.

The book is broken into 3 parts: Precision, Accuracy, and WEZ analysis.

Part 1 focuses on Precision, which explores how hit percentage is affected by variables affecting group size, including:
Muzzle velocity variation
Range estimation error
Wind estimation error, and
Inherent rifle precision

Part 2 focuses on Accuracy, which is how well the group is centered around the aim point. Chapters in the Accuracy section include:
Leveling your sights
Trajectory modeling
Secondary trajectory effects
Calibrating ballistic solutions, and
Live fire verification

Part 3 focuses on Weapon Employment Zone (WEZ) analysis including:
300 Winchester Magnum
300 Win Mag vs. .338 Lapua Mag
Score Shooting
Wind Sensor Array design
Varmint hunting
Medium and big game hunting
Military and tactical shooting

Ever wonder how much spin drift, Coriolis affect, or using G1 vs. G7 BC's affect your chances of hitting a target? In Chapter 10 for example, you'll learn that ignoring spin drift in ballistic calculations reduces hit percentage on a 10" target from 21% to 15% at 900 yards for a specified environment and cartridge.

In Chapter 6, you can see that reducing muzzle velocity variation from 20 fps Standard Deviation (SD) to 10 fps SD improves hit percentage on a 5" circle at 500 yards from 83% to 93%. These are just two brief examples of the types of analysis used throughout the book.

Come on Len, you can read and you are an analytical person. Who else (if they weren't analytical) would poll posters about mounting a mount on the hood of their vehicle.........

Just say'in....

Len,
I am mainly a farmer but I would like to review the book for LRH. Not too much farming this time of the year.

I will admit I'm an avid reader of all types of books, from techinical books to pot boilers. People wonder how come I'm well versed on so many subjects and I smile... It's there for the reading.

Just read 'No Easy Day'. I actually read it from cover to cover in one sitting, it's that good.

BTW. I sent you a PM about a week ago to which I never received an answer, sent it e-mail to your r-mail address, off site.

If no one mans up, I'll do it......
