How many Acres of public hunting Land In Co, MT, Idaho ??
We hunted in Colorado several years ago and it offered several thousand acres of public hunting land. I was wandering if you guys could help me out and let me know what your state has to offer? I want to go on another hunting trip one of these days but I really want to hunt where I can get a Long range shot off .

Not counting the national forests and state lands, for the 2012 hunting season, in Montana, approximately 1,270 landowners have enrolled about 8 million acres of land in the Block Management Program.

Montana has ~ 17.4 million acres of national forests.

I think Idaho is about 80% public land. Not sure about the acreage but it's more than you can hike in a day.
