Accuracy, pure and simple. They will not compete with a bolt gun day in day out in pure accuracy. Speed yes with very good accuracy normally but normally not the type of accuracy you need for a precision LR gun. Your AR platforms in 223 are the closest and they are the exception rather than the rule.
