You should get your facts right, I fish in SD too because it's a much better fishery, and I can get my limit of eaters anytime. They lowered the limits because of a very poor smelt hatch for years, they have 400% the pressure of any MT waters and some smelt spilt over/through the dam. Their limits have made it again, the best fishery for walleye. I just got back and we caught 30-100 a day, nice fish too. Released some 4-6 lbs walleyes and the locals really appreciated that! If we would have caught a 12 like you, it would still be alive too.
I have worked at the Ft Peck spawn/egg taking many, many years, and the 10-14 lb walleye have contributed most of the eggs, and 15lbs to 16+ lbs have contributed eggs too. Your bioligist is full of it.
