here is a long range shoot much like what i did at the Sportsman's Challenge here in eastern wa, but this will be held at Killgore Adentures on the Salmon river just outside of White bird, ID.
This shoot will be held Labor day weekend the 1st,2nd and 3rd of September
There is a campground on the shore of the Salmon river that has some full RV hookups and then dry camping spots for tents and/or campers. on the campground there is showers and restroom facilities. Killgore has a motel just 2 miles from the event, also in the area there is hotels and other lodging facilities in the area with Riggins, Grangeville and White bird being the closest to the event.
The shoot will be have two courses (big and small game). For the small game course you will have 20-25 minutes to shoot all the targets. The big game course will be split up in half with the amount of targets so barrels can cool and to keep the weather changes fair for the majority, so if there are 14 big game targets we will shoot the first 7 and run the whole list of shooters through and then once the list is complete we will start them all over again shooting the next 7 targets. this will also keep people more involved with less waiting time in between shooting times. On the big game course time will vary depending on how many people will be shooting, but most likely there will be about 15 minutes to shoot your 7 targets. if there is a large amount of people who show up to shoot we may have two people on the firing line shooting at a time, but with some space between them. At the beginning of the shoot there will be an allotted time so that everyone will be able to range and sketch the targets, helping you when you get up to the firing line.
