Had shoulder surgery ...
Monday the 18th, still in pain but recovering well. Rotator cuff tear, tendonitis, and some bone spur taken out ...
Bow season is out but rifle should be a go if I do my PT part.

Re: Had shoulder surgery ...
Ouch. I hope every thing works out as planned. I know the feeling.
I fell at work about 4 years ago now and broke my arm above the elbow in 6 places. It took almost 2 years before I could pull back my bow set at 50#.
I didn't put much wear on my rifle barrels either. Hope things work out better for you!!

Sorry to hear that. Let it heal, pull out your handguns make your non affected side better. I work with a fellow just re-injured his, he'll tell you the second time is less fun than the first. Best wishes.

Re: Had shoulder surgery ...
I did PT for 3 years before I decided on the surgery and plan on following my PT regimen to the T for a speedy recovery. Thank you all.

My wife just got cleared to go back to work after hers. She did the same thing, went to PT for years. She had the work done in Jan went back to work about 3 weeks ago. Yours looks a lot more invasive than hers was.
She only had a frayed labrum and the underside of her acromion was cleaned up a little. You had a torn rotator cuff; there are not a lot of blood vessels in tendons. Did you tear one of the 4 stabilizing muscles or a tendon?
I hope you have a speedy recovery and remember chicks dig cool scars. I think I would tell the ladies its a scar from a knife fight with some gang bangers. But thats just me

L L! Yes, I had a rotator cuff tear, tendonitis, and some bone spur taken out ... injured it a couple of times or so a few years back. I think the worst was when I slipped off the ice and try to break my fall - would have been better off falling on my arse. It was never the same then and any above the shoulder motion hurts :( ... I plan on going back to work on Monday and see how it goes.
