Follow up on bench technique for hunting rifles
Another newby question--would a rifle rest, maybe something like the Shooters Ridge rest, be worthwhile for load testing for rifles 7mm Rem mag and up?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Follow up on bench technique for hunting rifles
Some people use them and some people don't.
Goodgrouper and the Utar boys built one that is pretty precise and sure works well.
Something like the lead sled will foster bad habits so I've been told.
you could consider a lead shot bag partially filled w/sand between the butt and shoulder. Some are satisfied with that arrangement.
