Falling in love all over again

Yesterday I went shooting with a buddy and his new rifle. and decided I would take the Sako A7 25-06 along because I hadnt shot it on paper in so long I honestly didnt even remember how it shot. it was about 100 degrees out so we both only shot 3 shots. But the little Sako printed a nice little 1/4" group at 100 yards. I love that gun!

Re: Falling in love all over again

Why is it we get these great guns, then don't shoot them much?

Re: Falling in love all over again

I have found the same thing happening to me when I take some of my older rifles out and play with them. They are superbly accurate, perfectly balanced, and nicely stocked. The only issue is that they were set up when I was shooting at more moderate ranges and I am now addicted my long range rigs that give me the ability to double my reach. I rarely use the older rigs even when they would suit the hunting situation well. I have given a few of them to younger family members just starting out in order to prolong their life. They are still very capable gamegetters. I guess time marches on.
