Dall Sheep Hunting In Idaho??

Well now I enjoy a nice read of FICTION every so often. Right now I'm reading "The Bear and the Dragon" by Tom Clancy.

Here's a sentence right out of the book: "Went home last fall on vacation and got himself a Dall sheep at eight hundred-plus yards up in Idaho."

which part was the bigger fib. the Idaho dall sheep or the 800 plus shot?

Yea, that erks me when they put 'research' into a document and say things like that.

There's a 24 episode where a sailor on a submarine says something like, "Down that HALLWAY!" But what can ya expect from a tuber? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

However, there is n decent Dall on a friend of mine's wall.
