I am prepping some new Lapua 6.5x284 cases. Necks have been turned and I am about to give a slight bevel to the inside of the case mouths. Should I use the standard RCBS deburring tool or should I use the Lyman VLD deburring tool which has a much steeper angle?
Initially, I will be working with Sierra 142gr HPBT's and Hornady 140gr A-Max bullets.
I deburred some 6.5/284 with the standard rcbs an i had to pull some loads because they were to hot, the base right near the boattail was all scruffed up, I loaded a few of them up and shot a .26 at 100yd but they were very inconsistant at 800yd.
