What are you using for a IR gun?

Can you measure different temps along the barrel? From chamber to muzzle in say 4" spacings?

If it is possible to roughly measure temperature differences along the barrel it would help one of my projects a bunch.

I used a Raytek mini-temp.You can measure every 4'' on the outside,but it would hard to measure every 4'' on the inside the way my tool is.I was able to get a measurement about 4'' in from the muzzle and about the same inside the chamber. I think Raytek makes a probe attachment that may work better inside the barrel.

I'm only interested in the exterior temperature change and flow.
