Re: Which BIG 7mm?

May I jump in with my 2 cents? Ok, thanks.

While the 7mm AM is most probably the most extreme and effective of the 7 super mags, the key to the rave reviews by those who have harvested big game with their AMs can be attributed to the creativeness and craftsmanship of the developer, designer and builder.

I should apologize for the interuption but I won't.

How do powders like Retumbo and H1000 work in the 7 AM?

Hey.....somebody has to go along with the gun and pull the trigger. If Kirby ever figures out how to replace us he can sell an all in one killin' machine.

    Re: Which BIG 7mm?

Just to be clear, the owners, shooters and hunters are 100% responsible for the performance of their rifles. Me as a rifle builder has nothing to do with my customers being successful in the field. They do not load themselves, they do not shoot themselves, that is on you guys and you all make me look very good.

I have said it dozens of times that my customers often shoot the rifles I build them better then I can. That is not an exaggeration, that is fact and several of those guys are posting on this topic.

Again, its not me in any way. It does not matter how well the rifle shoots, its the shooter or hunter that makes the rifles special, simple as that. Thanks for the kind words but they are better directed toward you guys pulling the trigger much more then me. That is not humility either, just a fact and I know it as well as any rifle maker out there.

I use H-US869 in my 7AM. The longest range group I have shot was at 1563 yards and measured 0.488 MOA for four shots under hunting conditions.
