As far as the deer not being large , they are 600-700 lbs with kevlar shoulders and take one hell of a pounding before waving the white flag .

As for the B.C.s of these bullets,
300gr mk: 0.768
250gr partition: 0.457
not sure about the others. But I dont think the partition is ideal for LR hunting due to that low bc. I can't find any real high bc hunting bullets in .338cal in my ballistic calculators database... Not one over .5 under 275grain.
