By that I meant that most MK's are pretty consistent (if they were made on one press and put into the box without bullets from the other presses. Sierra has reportedly stopped mixing bullets from different presses into lots) but the 338 300 grain MK is a whole different story. It is one of the worst bullets for consistency on the market!
Bullet diameter would change where the measuring tool measures for bearing surface but I have never seen bullets that were inconsistent in diameter. I have seen some that were fatter than caliber or slightly undersized for caliber, but all of those bullets in that box were the same diameter.
If it's not far, it's boring.
