Definitely get the x-bolt if it is a hunting rifle. The medallion a-bolt will look better but the x-bolt hunter will feel better. Also I forgot to ad above in my earlier post that the recoil pad on the x-bolt is WAY better. Not just a little better.

There truly is no comparison in the recoil pads, the X Bolt is the hands down winner. I also really like the palm swell of the X Bolt. I had the option to buy another A Bolt or an X Bolt, and after handling both I felt like the X Bolt was going to make a better handling mountain rifle.
