The fit and finnish is excellent and the rifle easily shoots moa at 100yds with factory ammo. Ive been a long time Remington fan for 20yrs but this rifle definitely converted me. Really like the CRF and the overall balance of the rifle, great for offhand shots. Ive included some pictures of
the rifle, a three shot group at 100yd and the elk I shot last season.Hope this helps.
Nate, that's a dandy rifle, and a dandy Elk too! I know what you mean about being a Winchester convert . Like you, I have been a Remington man for most of my life, but I have a few " priceless" winchesters in my cabinet now, including a Custom shop Sharpshooter in 7STW. Also, I am building a custom rifle
on a Winchester action.
I really love that rifle of yours, and especially the laminated stock. It really does make a difference in the feel, and the stability of the action. That laminated stock is like iron. It dosen't shift, shrink, or swell. What a beauty, actually, two!! Congrats on both!
