why only 50 or 100 bullets in a pack

hay i was wonder if anyone new a place to get bullets in smaller quantities than 50ct. i just got a new 300wm barrel for my encore and wanting to try to find what she likes but dont want to have to buy 50 of a bullet just to try them. also looking for a good powder to start with thinking reloader 22
