Re: who has real worl bc info on 140 6,5 cal amax
I havent used the 140 AMAX, but with other AMAX's I have used, I have seen very differant results from published. The 178 in my 308 has been .318 on the G5 model and in my 300 RUM I have .495 which is published at G1, but in my rifle it is .495 on the G7 model which is more like a laser trajectory than an arching! If you convert it to G1 it is around 1.011. Go figure. I had conversed with Jerry a couple of times about the 162 AMAX and the 140 6.5 in comparison with my experiance with the 178. I think alot of it has to do with finding a sweet spot in the velocity/twist/caliber/stability factors and how they tie together. If you find a sweet spot with an AMAX, it is an awesome ride!!
Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (how bad your last shot was, how big the group is going to be, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.
