What is your favorite 6.5mm round?

I am trying to decide what round to use for my next build. I want to go with some variation of the 6.5mm. I am open to wildcats as well as conventional rounds. I want the best mix in regards to inherent accuracy and velocity. This will most likely be a midrange to longrange hunting and target gun. So, any suggestions and practical experience is definately welcomed. Thanks in advance.

My favorite, the 6.5 Grendel.

6.5 WSM speed-distance very tough to beat for hunting purposes.

My only experience is with the 6.5-06. I am very pleased with the cartridge. I have thought about building 260AI. I think it would be exceptional. Also the 6.5-284 for the lapua brass.

Lots of good 6.5's, just depends on what you want. If you want a screamer my 264 STW shoots the 130 grain swift scirocco at near 3600 fps with a .571 BC. It is very good at long range and is a very good big game bullet.

For what you want to use it for I think you would be happy with the 260 Remington.

Low recoil, good barrel life, based on the 308 case(A very accurate cartridge) has won many
600 and 1000 yard matches since it's arrival on the scene, factory ammo and brass availability
are good.

There are lots of good 6.5s and this is just one of them.
