What remington 700 boltface will hold the 300UM?

Do I have to buy a 700 rem action that is already an Ultra mag or will another bolt face hold the 300UM? I don't really want to have to open it up, but I guess if I found a magnum action (preferably in stainless, HINT HINT) for the right price, I could just have it opened up. Does anyone have any thoughts on the safety margin of opening up a magnum bolt face to UM?

My 7mm STW rem 700 action will hold a rum case, as far as I know their is no difference between the rum and standard magnum bolt face other than the feed rails are opned up for the wider case for feeding.
Theres a guy in Tenn that sells actions only.

So if I understand correctly, a 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag action would also work if the feed rails were opened up?

Yes any bolt face with a magnum sized case head (.532 -.534 dia) will work.
