Re: What Brake?

I have a pain killer slim on a 300 weatherby mag and my wife prefers it over a non muzzle braked. 308.

Re: What Brake?

Tweek 1142, I would give a serious look at the Titanium brake built by Steve at Elk Meadow Performance. It is an amazing brake that will stand up to any of the brakes mentioned in performance and only weigh 1.2 oz for the 1 incher and .85 oz on the 3/4 inch version. I had Steve take off the brake on my big 7mm and replace it with the one inch Titanium and the reduction of recoil was unbelievable!! These things Work !!! The light weight is helpful in reducing the effects of a muzzle brake on Bbl harmonics. I did not have to retune my load either. It actually shot tighter groups than with the old brake. ( probably just got lucky )!!------ 7mm RHB
