Lerch

Have you shot those 125g Wildcats at 800 yards or farther?? I am interested. I only shot them out to 525 yards. I bought 1 box to try them and I worked up 3 loads with 3 differen't powders. I killed 1 buck and 2 coyotes. They left sufficient wounds considering the shot placement. Have you shot anything with them?? I shot waterfilled milk jugs and the expansion, or blowup effect was not so great at 200-300-525 yards, but the deer and coyotes showed expansion, slightly less then say a Btip. I need to get a couple more boxes of those 125's. They are awesome bullets for the 25-06.

Re: which varment caliber?

I havent got to try them at long range yet. I shot them out to 530yds on rocks and they made a hell of a thump, lot of retained energy.
I am planning on shooting them out to 1500yds so I can get a good idea of the BC, just havent done it yet.

They are a hell of a bullet for the 25-06

take it easy

I own one of each and use each one for different reasons. Like clubs in a golf bag. I say Buy em all! I wish I had the time to use all mine. My wife loves my, I mean, Her 223. LOL . All around, just one, go with a 243.
