thoughs on under sized barrels

I was looking into buying an Obermeyer for my next build. I saw that they come under sized. the one I was looking at was .298. I know about the pressure spike and the increase in velocity. Is my barrel life going to be shorter than a standard sized barrel?

It should have little, if any, affect on barrel life.......Rich
