Is wet newspapers or wet magazines good for testing for bullet expansion at ranges beyond 500 yards? I would like to test 168 berger vld bullets shooting with my 7mm RM. Bullet at muzzle is 2800 fps and at 500 yards is 2150 fps. The reason Iam asking is today I was shooting 1/2 gallon jug filled with water. The bullet hit dead center but did not expand small hole in small hole out.
