Re: Tell Us About Your 2009 Custom Rifle Build

This will be my first true custom where I'm having it sent out to a smith to be completed.
  • Barrel brand, length, profile, coating if any - Brux barrel, 6.5mm SS, 1-8 twist, "Hunter" profile, 27" finished, recessed target crown, teflon black
  • Action brand, model, coating if any - FN SPR action, pre-64 win style, stock finish
  • Brake brand...or NONE - None
  • Stock brand, model, color - Richards microfit stock, marksman style, walnut. No synthetics for me.
  • Bottom metal - Factory floorplace and internal magazine
  • Cartridge - Either 6.5 Creedemore, or 6.5x47 Lapua
  • Trigger - Tuned factory
  • Scope - Not sure yet
  • Scope base and rings - Warne rings on factory rail.
  • Smith if already chosen - GA Precision
  • Expected weight of rig without scope and mount - Don't know and don't care.

I'm still a ways out from having all the parts assembled, but if everything goes well I would like to at least have it to the smith in 2009.
