Re: Tell Us About Your 2009 Custom Rifle Build

  • Barrel brand, length, profile, coating if any--Shilen, 28"-29" 1-9 twist #8 Contour
  • Action brand, model, coating if any--Savage Target Action, stainless steel
  • Brake brand...or NONE--haven't decided yet on which one, DE?? SSG??
  • Stock brand, model, color--Maybe a Russo A5 style, reddish color, or the smith might make one, still up in the air.
  • Bottom metal--None
  • Cartridge--7mm WSM
  • Trigger--Savage Target Accutrigger
  • Scope--Haven't decided on this yet too. Maybe Nightforce, just see how much money I have up to this point.
  • Scope base and rings--Some sort of 20 MOA base. Again time will tell.
  • Smith if already chosen--Neale Flynn aka "Savagebien" on LRH
  • Expected weight of rig without scope and mount--Doesn't matter I won't be carrying it through the woods.
Should be a pretty "BA" rifle. Can't wait. Already bought the dies, brass, and bullets for this rifle.
