Suppressor for .257 Weatherby

Would putting a suppressor on a .257 Weatherby be a bad idea?

I know it's not extremely loud, but other than lowering the noise level, are there reasons to not do it? I've never put a suppressor on anything, so I'm just wondering what the pros and cons are of doing so.

Thanks.

Buy a shark suppressor. The benefits of your suppressor will make your rifle a pleasure to shoo because there is no muzzle blast and reduced recoil.

POI shift every time or just initially once the unit is installed?

I really know nothing about them other than noise reduction...

You should expect a POI change when you have it installed compaired to when you have it off. All three of my M110's have a 1 MOA change when mounting them; one shoots left, one high and one at 1:30 position.
Lots of pros, but the cons usually stray people away. Like cost, dealing with the ATF, laws in individual states again hunting with them.

I had seen the ATF stuff but hadn't thought about hunting laws... I'll check that out. Thanks.
