Re: Stocks: H&S or McMillan?

i have both, like both, but mcmillan wins out-the beavertail forends on the hs stocks just dont sit well in bags,at least in my my experience and on the models i have, they are too convex, they work well off of bibods though, very easy to bed though,my-2-dave

Re: Stocks: H&S or McMillan?

My personal opinion is McMillan is king.

The only thing I dont like about the McMillan (only in molded cammo) is they can be very glossy. I have found that a sheet of sand paper fixes this nicley.

Every thing else, accuracy, user comfort ect... McMillan all the way.

Both are good but McMillan is King, if for no other reason than they have way more options and styles of stocks than HS.

I have to differ! the Master 1000 Bench Rest stock is much stiffer than the McMillian.

Re: Stocks: H&S or McMillan?

McMillan is by far and away the best. I can't say I've ever heard of anyone trading in a McMillan stock for an HS, but I know plenty of folks who have traded their HS stocks for McMillan and would never go back to HS again.

Hope it helps!
