Steyr 308 CISM new Stock & Barrel
Steyr 308 300M Standard CISM rifle.
Can anybody help? I have two questions.
a) is there a hunting style stock that would fit my rifle, the competition stock is too cumbersome for stalking. McMillan make a tactical stock, I would prefer a hunting style stock or thumbhole style
b) I have been told that the Steyr barrels are not threaded and are shrunk into the action. Are the competition rifles, CISM, manufactured in the same way? Is there any way of telling if the barrel/action is threaded. If these barrels can be changed who would you recommend, I have been turned down by one custom rifle maker.
