Speer Hot-Cor -Bonded?

For a variety of reasons, haven't been able to reload for my 300 WM just yet; consequently I just bought 40rds of Fed Classic 180gr to tide me over. Last lot I bought had Sierra Pro-Hunter bullets, new stuff has Speer Hot-Cor.
What does the 'Hot-Cor' technique add to the bullet? Is it equivalent to bonding -or just an irrelevant gimmick?

Brown Dog, Not sure what the HOT COR is but I've never had one come apart, pretty tuff bullet. They also retain good weight.

Magmaniac,

Thanks, that sounds encouraging. What are you launching them from (and at)?

Re: Speer Hot-Cor -Bonded?

"hot core" is a process by which molten lead is used to fill the jacket. Traditionaly lead rod is inserted and then swaged. Suposidly the hot core process leads to beter uniformity.
I have never used the hot core bullets, but have used the grand slams with excellant results.
