Saturn barrels are they any good
If anyone has anything to say about Saturn barrels I would like to hear about it. I have a way of getting a great deal on one, but a good deal is only as good as the quality of the barrel.
Thanks for your info.

Re: Saturn barrels are they any good
I have never shot a Satern barrel, but I can tell you Steve Satern is a stand-up guy (as are most all Highpower shooters) and I would not hesitate to buy anything from him. I have shot with him at camp perry as well as some local LR matches. I believe he got some insight from Boots Obermeyer on barrel building.
Satern Custom Machining when accuracy counts, count on Satern.

Re: Saturn barrels are they any good
You will not go wrong with a Satern barrel (correct spelling).
If you have a line to get a great deal, even better.
I find it hard to believe there are not more of them out in the field.
I'm impressed for several reasons.
--consistent high quality steel, barrels copper up very little
--will cut any twist you need to nearest .25 inch
--short wait time
--top notch customer service

Re: Saturn barrels are they any good
Iv'e heard the quality is good.
On a sad note, iv'e tried to contact them many times, via Email, Phone.... Left numerous
messages and NEVER got any response. After several months of trying i just gave up
on them. I could drive up there as they are not that far from me, but its not worth my time or
gas money on a company that don't return any calls. I had several customers that wanted
Satern barrels but after no contact we went with Lilja instead.

Sorry to hear about the commo issues.
Just spoke to Steve's wife and seems they've had server problems with their computers for some time.
Most reliable email is satern@qwestoffice.net or try www.saternmachining.com either one put attn Debra on subject line.
