Ruger M77MKII stock

I'm looking for a good aftermarket synthetic for my ruger m77mkii, short action (.223)

I know that Bell and Carlson do a 'Carbelite' one but I have heard bad things about that particular model of B&C and would prefer to avoid them,

I also know that Mcmillan do a variety but I don't think I can justify dropping 2/3 the price of the rifle on a new stock for it.


None of the other decent stockmakers seem to do one that I can find, does anyone have any suggestions?

I may end up going with a boyds laminate but I would prefer something a little lighter as it's the 'ultralight' model of ruger
