Rifle ideas

Hello,
I'm new to the forum( 1st post) but not to shooting,
I am demoing out a new line up of optics for a small Canadian optic company,
I need a rifle that is cheap to shoot but extremely accurate out of the box
Probably for use under 600 yards, I'm think something small like a .223 but I also am demoing out an ai chassis system in .243 but it has optics on it now.
Any ideas on a rifle?

I would look for something in 7/08 or 308 in a varmint weight rifle.

The Remingtons are my first choice but the Savage is more in your price line.

Another choice is the Weatherby vanguard $399.00 in something like a 270 Win.

Re: Rifle ideas

Im not the largest savage fan, I really like Remington
I don't mind spending money on rifles, you get what you pay for
But these scopes I'm demoing aren't the top off the line, and it wont be my rifle
So I didn't really want to spend to much
Kinda thinking of a Thompson center precision hunter

Re: Rifle ideas

If you have a 243 in a chassis system, then it should be easy to swap scopes back and forth. Otherwise, your chassis and mounts aren't worth a hoot.

Savage 12F is another good choice. The 6BR is very accurate. Plus, you can order excellent Lapua 105gr ammo or handload.

If you expect the mfg to really stand behind the accuracy, then you may have to go with something like a Cooper.
