Re: revolutions per minute debate

Now then let us shoot a 300 Wthby mag a while

We will shoot a Sierra Matchking 180 gr with a BC of 0.640 and a Sierra 180 gr round nose with aBC of 0.250

We will shoot these bullets at 3000 fps through a 1 in 8 twist barrel at 4500 revs per sec

What we see here when we hold everything constant except the BC and vary the BC the two bullets do not ever have the same RFD

Let us hope it doesn't rain tomorrow because I'm going turkey hunting come H'll or high water. you will notice that I did not commit to killing one.

GG, just because your right doesn't mean your pals will accept it. Do you feel you have adequate evidence?

Yes. I have printed off a copy of this topic and will show it to those who are interested at the next match.
