I have thought about it. I dont want to just because of the sentimental value, but having just had a new baby, I dont think I can afford to let it collect dust and buy another one just for sentiments sake.

If I do rebarrel it, I will set it up as a switch barrel rifle and use it for the 300 WSM and the 308. Same action, same stock, same scope, different barrels, magazines and bolts.
Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (how bad your last shot was, how big the group is going to be, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.
