Reducing felt recoil

Besides a muzzle break, what sort of stuff can one do to reduce felt recoil?

Thanks

add weight to the gun or shoot a smaller caliber.
I good suppressor also works pretty well if you can afford it and don't plan to hunt with it.

alot of times you can change your recoil pad to a better one like the Sims or decelarator.

I put a limbsaver onto my 30.06 last year and you can sure tell a noticeable difference with that.

Amen on the Limbsaver. I put the slip-on unit on my 300 WSM and it's a real pleasure to shoot now.

There are some recoil reducers that can be worn but a brake is the way to go...

Not that it is known for recoil like the RUM cases, I just built a 7mm RM. I put a limbsaver pad on it, a 27 1/2" varmint barrel as well. Shooting 175 grain bullets with a stout load of Retumbo and I can shoot it with basically free recoil off the bench. The weight and the limbsver pad make it a sweet shooter!
