I keep reading the word rebarrel but what does it means exactly?
Is it the changing of an old barrel for a brand new one or the process of using the old one for a bigger caliber? Of which is the latter possible and advisable?
Hi, to rebarrel for the most part, means to remove the old barrel and replace with new. you can also have your old barrel reamed out to a larger size and new rifling cut in. I beleive there are only five companies in the USA. that will do this and they charge around $120. I hope this helps [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
